The RDM Shrimp Difference

90% of shrimp consumed in the U.S. is imported. It often contains banned antibiotics and hormones and is contaminated with mercury from the ocean.
RDM Shrimp are raised in tanks with natural environments free of hormones, antibiotics, mercury, and environment-ravaging harvesting methods.

Antibiotic & Hormone Free

RDM Shrimp are grown in tanks closely resembling their natural environment, but without all of the toxins found in the ocean, that is. To safely maintain our tanks we use an all-natural bacteria based system that eliminates the need for chemicals, and keeps our shrimp happy and healthy without antibiotics or hormones!

Why are Antibiotic & Hormone free RDM Shrimp important?

  • A large percentage of imported shrimp contains banned chemicals.
  • You get that sweet, just caught taste – only without the harsh ocean related diseases and chemicals.

Sustainably Raised

As “Guardians of the Water”, we use a variety of ways to minimize our carbon footprint – keeping the ocean and our environment protected.

Water Preserving

Using a heterotrophic bacteria based water or ZEAH (Zero Exchange Aerobic Heterotrophic System) or bio flock, we keep the same tank water clean for years on end, reducing the burden on local water systems.

Runs on Air

Additionally, we developed a system that runs on air without the use of any pumps. The only electricity needed? A regenerative blower that oxygenates the water for the bacteria. This means our tanks run 100% on air from nature!

Ocean Conservation

For every pound of shrimp harvested in the ocean, four pounds of other species are destroyed. By raising our fresh shrimp inland in their own natural environment tanks we protect the ocean and all species in it.
